Functions and types of bearings
The function of bearing is to support the bearings shaft and the rotating parts on the shaft to maintain a certain rotation accuracy and bear the load. At the same time, it is also used to reduce the friction and wear caused by relative rotating parts.
According to the nature of bearing work, it can be divided into sliding bearing and rolling bearing. Rolling bearing is a widely used supporting component in all kinds of machinery; Sliding bearings are mostly used in mechanical equipment with high speed, heavy load, large impact load or particularly high requirements for shaft rotation accuracy, especially where split structure is required.
Rolling bearing:
① Single row centripetal ball bearing (radial bearing, deep groove ball bearing) features: it mainly bears radial load and requires large shaft stiffness. Applicable occasions: gearbox and main shaft
② Double row radial ball bearing (self-aligning ball bearing)
Features: it mainly bears radial load, double row steel balls, and the outer race raceway is of inner spherical shape. It has automatic centering performance and can automatically compensate the coaxiality error caused by deflection and shell deformation
Application: in parts where the bearing seat hole cannot ensure strict coaxiality. Model representation: e.g. 1207 and 3303 (imported)
③ Self aligning roller bearing (radial short cylindrical roller bearing)
Features: it mainly bears radial load and axial load in one direction, with high radial load bearing capacity.
Application: working under bearings heavy load or vibration load. Model representation: example: Model 2000
